Vinos Pavia

Pavia wines, with all the hallmarks of a small family winery where they used to make wine for their own consumption, so good that they had to share it with the world.

Dr. Edgar Pavia, a renowned researcher and oceanologist, had the vision of planting a vineyard at his home in Valle de Guadalupe with the intention that someday, when it bore fruit, he could have fun and create his own wine to drink at home.

The process was involving and exciting him more and more, and as a good scientist, he investigated and experimented until he reached the flavor he was looking for, which in his words “I wanted to make wines like the ones that were made before”. With high attention to detail and a lot of heart, since it would be the wine he would share with his loved ones.

In 2008 he started his personal production and in 2013, he began to sell it to whoever asked or by recommendation. But it is not until 2018, that his son Carlo, decides to take Pavia Wines beyond a hobby, but in a business and life project for his family, in which he was given all the confidence to take control of what represents the dream of his father.

This is tangibly reflected in his most recent label: Duality, his premium wine, which stands out for having a more contemporary design and profile, compared to the other labels of Dr. Pavia’s classic taste. Duality, as its name implies, is the product of “old and new school” as well as a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo with 3 years in hybrid barrels.

They have a beautiful terrace overlooking their vineyards and those of some neighboring wineries, such as Vinos de Garza, where you can taste their wines and cheese boards to accompany them.

“I have touched all my bottles”, Dr. Pavia proudly commented to us, referring to the fact that he has taken care and been part of the whole process. We love to know closely this kind of stories, thanks for the attentions ??.
