Vinisterra Winery

We are winemakers by choice. We take care of every detail to make wines that proudly express the character of the land of Baja California.

Vinisterra was born in 2002 from the friendship of Ensenada businessman Guillermo Rodriguez and winemaker Christoph Gaertner and their passion for wine and the land of the Ensenada Valleys.
We are a micro-production winery with 15 people. We produce 50,000 bottles of wine per year, with deep respect for our land and our people.
Our vineyards are in Valle de Santo Tomás and Valle de Guadalupe.  We in total grow grapes for our wines in 28 acres.

Our winery is made of brick from the soil of our village. We try to work with a minimal intervention
oenology so that the wines from each of our plots express themselves in the purest way possible.
